Students from as far away as Taiwan and as close as the south side of Chicago
live together in CCS, one of Northwestern University's oldest residential colleges. Our majors range
from art practice to journalism to engineering, but we share a love of diverse cultures and concern for our local and global
communities.
When not out enjoying the social
scene around us on North Campus, we work with our fellows and outside organizations to put on activities like monthly firesides,
community service projects, and IM sports. For trips into Chicago, the Noyes El stop is conveniently close
by.Favorite outings include trips to ethnic neighborhoods, musical and dramatic performances, and camping.
"CCS is the kind of place our parents envision
college to be: a supportive group of friends living and learning together, concentrating on those things that make this time
in our lives so defining--love and laughter, socially relevant discussions, and of course those things our parents expect,
but don't necessarily want to hear about..." - Aaron Beswick, SESP '10
